Thursday, Dec 18, 2003 update: Working on expanding the fixed point integer
library to increase functinality. I've made some headway on the 2.1.0 version,
improved rendering time of the graphics by tiling the graphics calculations,
reducing the number of drawstring operations that are very slow. Also added
some sorting capablility. I also added a temeprature converter. When I finish
up testing I'll be sending out the new version to customers I have an email
address for. The application is now smaller, only 31579 bytes, down from 44133
bytes, a size reduction of 28% even with the newer functionality. Most phone
vendors sugest a 50 k limit for the jar file, so I have another 20 K of coding
I can add. If there are any specific needs out there please let me know, I'll
see if I can add it to future releases, and as long as I am able I will send
updated versions to those I have emails for. Just send me an
email. I have a Masters of Science in Chemistry, so you don't need to
go into too much detail.
On Friday, October 30, 2003 version 2.0.0 was released specifically for
BlackBerry devices. This version uses graphics objects to create the periodic
table method instead of a static png as a result of BlackBerry's png size
limit.
On Friday, October 10th, 2003 ChemLabPartner version 1.0.0 was released.
All users that had an email account listed with Handango! received a free
upgrade.
In this version a amolecular weight calculator was added and the spelling of
electronegativity was corrected.
